Local Agency Adds 6 International Awards for their Windsor-Detroit Client Roster, including Covid-19 Response Communications
(Windsor, October 26, 2020) Douglas Marketing Group (DMG), is recognized with 6 international awards from two prestigious award shows. The creative was awarded in 2 categories, Covid-19 Response Communication and Print Publications.

The agency took home a total of 3 Summit Creative Awards, including 2 for Coronavirus Response, the first for the Coronavirus Response Playbook for Wayne County Airport Authority, and the second for their Stay at Home Website to provide families with activities, mental health and financial resources during the pandemic https://create.yoursforthedreaming.com. The site leads with the message “Creativity can’t be contained” and is an extension of the program, Yours for the Dreaming a concept that was developed by DMG founder Kay Douglas to outline a 6-step creative process The site brings together community partners in both Windsor and Detroit including Families First, Canadian Mental Health Association Windsor-Essex County as well as Michigan-based partners wealth advisor, Jim Smallegan and the Children’s Foundation. DMG developed the concept, aligned the partners and built the website.

With vetted judges, tough judging criteria, two-phase blind judging processes, and strict bylaws limiting winners, only deserving entries receive recognition.” Said Jocelyn Luciano, Managing Director for the Summit International Awards. “The creative work this year was outstanding. Watching the judges debate the details of individual entries in the run-off for the tops spots was inspiring.”
In addition to the Summit Award wins, the agency also took home Hermes Awards, for last year’s St. Clair College Admissions Handbook and digital recruitment campaign for the Zekelman School of Business. The award announcement comes on the heels of the College’s recent announcement the enrolment numbers have been sustained despite the global pandemic.

DMG was also awarded a Hermes for the Children’s Foundation Annual Report. Children’s Foundation, based in Michigan, advocates, grants funds as well as raises funds to support children’s health and wellness. The annual report was developed to communicate with a number of the organization’s stakeholders as well as showcases the community advocacy of the Children’s Foundation.
There were over 6,500 entries from throughout the United States, Canada, and dozens of other countries in the Hermes Creative Awards 2020 competition. Entries were submitted by corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies, and freelancers.
