Windsor, Ontario (July 9, 2025) – Windsor-Detroit-based campaigns have earned
international HERMES creative awards. The campaigns developed include: Wolfhead
Distillery (labels), the Children’s Foundation (microsite) and Windsor Police Service
(community outreach campaign), created by Douglas Marketing Group (DMG).
More than just industry recognition, these awards are a testament to the vital role that
local and regional businesses play in strengthening our communities. From supporting
youth to fostering economic growth, these initiatives have created a lasting, meaningful
impact across the region.
Recognition includes two Platinum awards, and one Gold award. Platinum is the
highest award given, honouring entries that demonstrate exceptional creativity, quality
and innovation.
Windsor-based craft distillery, Wolfhead Cream Liquor labels were recognized with a
Platinum HERMES Award. Wolfhead has worked with DMG since its opening in 2016,
with this win marking the third award the two have celebrated together. Their success
is a testament to how local businesses can elevate their brands through thoughtful
design and storytelling, both essential for standing out in broader markets while
remaining rooted in the community.
Also awarded a Platinum HERMES award was the Children’s Foundation microsite for
the Michigan Central Station Children’s Endowment Initiative. DMG collaborated with
the Children’s Foundation to create a dedicated microsite that supported the initiative
across multiple touchpoints, driving traffic from news outlets, hosting charity
applications, announcing selected organizations and ultimately encouraging donations
for youth and community revitalization as part of the historic landmark’s restoration.
“A recipe for success starts with community-driven campaigns and strategic
partnerships that showcase the unique strength of our region,” Kay Douglas, President
of DMG, states. A strong example of this is the SSNAPP campaign developed with the
Windsor Police Service, which was recognized with a Gold award in the Corporate and
Social Responsibility category. “SSNAPP’s Neighbourhood Safety Plans are great
examples of community coming together to support education, outreach and building
trust,” Douglas continued.
SSNAPP – Substance Supports in Neighbourhoods Accessed through Police
Partnerships – a program developed in collaboration with the Windsor Police Service,
the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit and the City of Windsor, provides crucial
resources for designated communities to ensure residents and businesses have the
necessary tools to address various situations.
